My tutoring style is direct; I try to establish where my student needs assistance. I also prefer to challenge and lead my students so they discover the answer on their own instead of just simply giving it to them. I always make it a priority to incorporate fun, excitement and interactive, elements into my lessons, and I have the innate ability to explain complex things in multiple ways and break them down so that the average lay person will understand. Another strategy I like to use is analogies; I draw similarities between something the student is familiar with and what they are currently struggling with.
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy; however, I am flexible and understanding; things come up. I am also flexible with travel. Hello, my name is Wayne. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
