When I was in elementary school I had undiagnosed ADHD and often lost interest in my classes. The pace was always too fast or too slow. Then I joined my school's tutoring program and found a love of the material that I had not had previously. I decided to take the SSAT's and got into the Lawrenceville School in NJ. From there I went on to attend MIT and major in bioengineering with a minor in theater arts. I actually tutored Chemistry and Biology at MIT to fellow undergrads. Throughout my time at school, I struggled with having to find ways to learn the material and because of that struggle, I became creative and adaptable in my studying methods. This helped me be a better tutor because when my students faced a roadblock, it was likely one that I had already faced and knew how to overcome. I love helping others succeed because I know I would not have made it without those that have helped me and it feels wonderful when you finally understand the material. Everyone can achieve their goals and learn-- I am here to help you get there!

I was a camp counselor for 3rd graders and have experience babysitting family members' children. I was also a tutor/mentor for the Boy's and Girl's Club for 2 years. Given my past work with children, I understand how to reach out to them and get their attention. I also understand the material very well because it is the foundational building blocks to the math, science, and reading I do today. I would love to help your child discover their passion for school and help them to learn tricks and tools on how to study smarter!

Having taken the SSAT's and SAT's and scoring over 90th percentile on each, I have done my fair share of vocabulary studies and I know just how painstaking it can be. Along the way, I have found fun methods to make the memorization enjoyable and I would love to pass these along!

I am dedicated and willing to work with you on whatever you need in a range of subjects! I know that during this time, it is easy to become disinterested in school. However, I believe

Theater

I have been learning theater for 8 years from concentrating on it in high school to minoring in it in college. I have completed numerous classes on theater design, script analysis, and acting. I have worked on and performed in musicals, plays, and improv comedy shows. I have also worked on voice and speech which is helpful for public speaking.

Took a calculus-based statistics class in high school where statistics was proven using calculus proofs. Then took a graduate-level statistics class while MIT, which involved coding statistics programs. I excelled in both classes. As a bioengineer, I use statistics every day and have seen just how important it is to understand. I am committed to helping you understand it too!

Elementary Math,

Elementary Math

As a bioengineering student, math is a part of my everyday routine. I oftentimes have to use math to explain the binding of proteins and find averages and standard deviations for my lab results. While I usually work with more complex math, my understanding of that math stems from my strong basic and mental math skills.

I received an A in Algebra 2 when I took it in high school at the prestigious Lawrenceville School. Since then I have gone on to harder math classes like differential equations. As a biological engineer, math is a part of my everyday life. I love it and have tutored many students in this subject and harder mathematics.
