In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a native French speaker and educator more than 25 years experience in teaching and tutoring, I believe my knowledge of both subject and students will be a great asset to any student. I am an effective tutor because I focus on student learning and utilize and adjust my teaching strategies and instructions to match the abilities and the knowledge of my student. As a son of school teacher of French too, principal, and diplomat, I was swimming into the water of French academia and knowledge.

I encourage students to ask questions and give their views on the material we are covering.

I received my Black Belt 25 years ago with Honors. As part of the University of Dakar/Senegal, the dojo (place to practice), I practiced Shotokan, Japaneze style, 3 times a week and trained the beginners on Saturday. As a school teacher with strong psychology and positive communication skills, I developed my philosophy of teaching Martial Arts. Because of those experiences, I am confident I am an asset in the life of any martial artist beginner.
