My name is Sandy and my goal is to provide affordable, compassionate, and solid tutoring services for students in grades K-6 with or without special needs, as well as, those who are preparing for the COOP/HSPT exam.
With regards to my educational background, I have placed first in the Archdiocese of New York State in the COOP entrance exam or otherwise known as the Catholic High School Entrance Exam and would be happy to help students to prepare to sit for this exam.
I am a candidate for a Master's of Arts in Teaching, Special Education (Grades K-12) with Liberty University. I am very excited to complete this program because it is with a top ten on-line/tier-one (overall) university. Hopefully, suggesting that once I am through I will be able to help students who have special educational needs at a high-level of preparedness.
Also, my undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Arts from New York University in Social Science with a concentration in Economics with a 3.0 plus GPA. In addition to this, I have taken some courses at Lehman College in Accounting towards a second Bachelor's where I maintained a 4.0 GPA.
I also have about two years of tutoring/teacher's aide experience with all types of students in all subject areas with the Learning Leaders program.
Thank you for taking the time to read my brief bio, and the best of luck with your educational endeavors! Hello!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
