##### About Andrew

Helping fellow students in school has always been a part of my life. As a graduate from Easton Area High School in the top 2% of my class, I consistently found myself helping friends and classmates through the difficulties of high school math classes, such as geometry, algebra, pre-calculus, and calculus. After graduating, I went on to pursue my undergraduate degree in Mathematical Economics at the University of Pennsylvania (I am currently in an incoming senior for my undergraduate degree). Even at an Ivy League Institution, I found myself lending aid to my classmates in upper level courses, such as multi-variable calculus, linear algebra, macroeconomic theory, and statistical inference.

That said, my areas of expertise with regard to teaching are centered around mathematics. As a result of completing various advanced mathematics courses in college, I have developed a great comfort with fundamental mathematical topics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. Therefore, I am quite confident in my ability to answer questions on the fly pertaining to these subjects. Also, I have taken multiple economics and statistics classes at Penn, which have provided me with additional competence in subjects involving quantitative analysis. I am more than willing to tutor in any one of these subjects.

Over the past couple of years, I have had numerous tutees through WyzAnt, ranging from high school students who need help on homework assignments to college students looking to do well on upcoming exams. I am happy to tutor students in 9th grade all the way through undergraduates in college. As a tutor, I am very flexible with regard to teaching style. I am willing to prepare mini-lessons on particular topics, if asked in advance, and would be willing to create practice problems for the student in order to solidify concepts, as well. If preferred, I can simply be a resource for answering spontaneous questions that the student has in real time. I can also elucidate confusing topics from lecture notes, the course text, etc.

As a very down-to-earth guy, I have never encountered any challenges in communicating with others, and I have always been committed to the success of those who have asked for my assistance. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
