Georgetown University (English)
I graduated from Georgetown and double majored in English and Art History (4.0 English and Summa cum laude). I am an experienced tutor and worked at the Georgetown University Writing Center, offering holistic advice to students throughout all aspects of the writing process, from brainstorming to final edits. I now work at a communications firm that specializes in the effective use of language.
I help the students I tutor better articulate the message that they're trying to deliver. I am a clear thinker and offer strategic, thorough, and insightful feedback, with the goal of helping my students become better writers and enjoy the creative process.

I can help students better understand the nuances of the MLA and Chicago writing styles and can help with research, primary/secondary sources, and bibliographies.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
