About Gregory

Hello everyone! My name is Greg and I'm a native of Central New York, attending Princeton as a junior this year, studying Operations Research and Financial Engineering. I have been tutoring my peers in Math and the Sciences since middle school. My teaching methods depend primarily on the needs of the student at hand. For example, I have tutored some pupils specifically in how to have better test-taking skills. Otherwise, I had shown students how to better use calculators on their tests. Moreover, I found that it was most effective to incorporate how math fits into a person's everyday life to give students the passion and drive to study more often, and to furthermore, make math enjoyable.

Ever since elementary school, I knew I had a knack for mathematics. Everywhere I looked, I saw different ways in which math was important in my everyday life. Through these experiences, I ended up not only being good at math, but enjoying it. I hope that I can share these experiences with you in your journey with math. Currently, I have a strong quantitative background and a love for linear algebra. I hope that you will trust me to both teach you and making learning fun!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Korean

I am a native speaker of Korean since I was a little boy. I picked it up from my parents and am able to speak in all of the honorific and casual voices. For a long time, I have been teaching some of my friends the basics of Korean, and I would love to be able to help anyone else who wants to learn Korean as well! It all starts with reading, watching Kdramas, and practicing speaking. After all, practice makes perfect! I am attending Princeton as a junior this year, studying Operations Research and Financial Engineering.

Regents

As a student of the New York public high school system, I know the regents tests in and out. I have scored perfect or near perfect for all of these tests. My specialties in getting a perfect score are the language exams as well as the mathematics exam. I also have experience in tutoring for the regents exam for my peers since high school, with great success.
