About Jingbo

Hello! I am a public health analyst specializing in big data and epidemiology study designs. I am a graduate of Columbia University with a MPH in the Department of Epidemiology with a certificate in Applied Biostatistics. I have a Bachelor's of Science degree from Cornell University in Biometry/Statistics. I love to communicate my knowledge and specialties to those around me! I believe that with patience and passion, everything can be learned and taught.

Math/Statistics: I have been tutoring on WyzAnt since a year ago and now have been a teaching assistant for a graduate level statistics course since September. I did very well on SAT and AP math subjects.

Additional tutoring skills: I devoted a very large amount of my free time to studying music- thus I am well versed in music theory/composition, piano, and sight-singing. I spent over 4 years serving as ear training instructor to a girl's choir and teaching beginner's piano at Cornell. I am fluent in Chinese (scored 5 on AP Chinese). I am passionate about everything that I do and sincerely hope to deliver my passions and skills to you or your children.

In summary, please do not hesitate to contact me if you need help in:
Any beginner-intermediate statistics subjects
Beginner SAS Programming
Epidemiology and public health concepts
Any elementary-high school MATH subjects, SAT/AP math subjects
Beginner music theory/composition, or piano
Beginner Chinese

I am prompt with replies- look forward to hearing from you!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Biostatistics

I have an B.S. from Cornell University in Biometry/Statistics. I am currently pursuing a Master of Public Health with a certificate in Applied biostatistics. I have experience working with biological/science/health data using statistical software.

Piano

Before I was formally taking piano lessons, I desired to learn so much that I taught myself keyboard from the age of 8. When I turned 11, I took devout lessons for seven years and passed the National Piano Guild auditions (Intermediate and Preparatory levels). I became a piano instructor for students of different ages while an undergraduate at Cornell (Piano Society). I have an intensive background in music theory and composition (see general music), which is an extremely important aspect to my piano learning and teaching experience.
