About Deana

I am a current middle school science teacher in a private NYC school. My favorite part of my days is working with my kids on hands-on activities and helping them on individual, creative projects. I work on new curriculum designs everyday. I currently teach Physics, Earth science and Space science. I have taught Forensics, Biology, Living Environment, and Environmental Science.

Students I have tutored in the past have earned 800s on SAT II Biology exam. I have helped many students earn high Regents scores in Living Environment and AP Biology scores.

I have tutored a student with learning disabilities for 2 years and am comfortable helping and teaching students of all ages and abilities. Being a middle school teacher with a background in high school I am familiar with the needs of many developmental levels.

My enthusiasm for teaching and learning is what makes me want to work with and help students enjoy science, math, reading, and writing year after year.
