Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

College Counseling

As a professional, award-winning writer, I have assisted students with both college and graduate school application essays.

I have also assisted students with reviewing potential colleges, have helped them to practice interviewing skills and also to think critically about what they want from an education and what college is a good potential fit. I do this by assisting them in reviewing their choices as well as making suggestions and also asking them to make notes, ask questions and review catalogs and other materials.

I am nurturing, patient and enjoy working with all different types of learners. To this end, I have studied The Theory of Multiple Intelligences.

I believe in getting to know a student in a relaxed, creative environment, in order to better assist them in creating a vibrant and unique essay. In addition to helping them explore topics, I also give feedback on format and content, as well providing in-depth, thoughtful editing.
