Parsons the New School for Design (Design Management)
Hi! My name is Samantha and I'm currently studying Strategic Design and Management at Parsons the New School for Design.
Although I chose to pursue a business career, math has always been my passion. I was in an extremely rigorous math, science and engineering magnet program in high school. By taking math courses at a local university, I completed and excelled past Calculus 3 through Differential Equations by the age of 18. I considered going for a degree in math and eventually becoming a math professor because I love the subject so much, and I love teaching it! Since high school, for the past 7 years, I've been tutoring all age groups and all subjects within the field of mathematics. I've tutored elementary-aged kids in addition to college graduates seeking tutoring for standardized tests such as the GRE and EMT examinations. I tested near-perfectly on SAT and ACT math subjects, so I'm very qualified to tutor in those categories as well.
Aside from math, I also tutor in Hebrew. I learnt Hebrew in Jewish day school for nine years, but the majority of my strengths with the language come from my year spent living in Israel and all my summers visiting. I love the language so I equally love sharing it with others! I currently teach Hebrew once a week at a Hebrew school, and I have copious experience offering private tutoring in the language.
Feel free to reach out to get to know me better! I'd love to hear from you, no matter what age. Hi! My name is Samantha and I'm currently studying Strategic Design and Management at Parsons the New School for Design.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am currently a 4th grade Hebrew teacher at East End Temple. I learned Hebrew in Jewish day school for 9 years. I then went on to take it at Sunday school in high school. After high school I did a gap year in Israel, where I took Hebrew Ulpan all year while volunteering and living amongst Israelis in addition to doing a program in the Israeli army for 2 months which was entirely in Hebrew. I spend all of my summers in Israel where I make sure to only speak Hebrew.
