Hi, my name is David and I am a copywriter and playwright who recently moved back to the east coast. I was living in Los Angeles the past few years, writing marketing copy in the health care industry. The work I do is meticulous and deadline driven. I have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and I’m a hard worker. I am proficient in AMA, AP and Chicago Styles.
I graduated with an English degree from Queen College, where I had a 3.97 GPA, was made Phi Beta Kappa and graduated Summa Cum Laude with high honors in English.
My vast arts background has afforded me opportunities to teach poetry, creative writing and playwriting, work extensively in the non-profit world, and even be a theatre critic. As a playwright, I have enjoyed many productions in New York—two this year!—and throughout the country. I earned an MFA in playwriting from Columbia University. My plays have won several awards and been published. One of my screenplays was a finalist for the Writer’s Lab at the Sundance Film Festival.
Please feel free to contact me with questions or to schedule an interview; and, by all means, forward my resume to anyone you think may be interested in it. Thank you for your time.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
