I am a recent graduate of Cornell University's College of Arts and Sciences. As a trilingual tutor in English, Mandarin and Spanish, I am passionate about working across cultures and disciplines. In my undergraduate schooling, I studied comparative literature with a focus on literary, media and visual studies.
I have over 400 hours of tutoring experience as I worked as an official Cornell Campus writing tutor for three years. I specialize in multilingual writing and have honed my skills in cross-cultural tutoring through a rigorous one-week workshop through the Knight Institute of Writing at Cornell University. Key take-aways from my tutoring lessons include increased confidence, increased concision, and structural organization.
Having worked with ESL kindergarten to PhD students, I hold myself to a high standard of working across age groups and backgrounds. Each lesson is tailored through a diagnostic approach to the specific needs of each student. I guarantee that each lesson will embody my passion for working with others, intellectual curiosity and creative expression.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Currently a full-time employee at Universum, the leading organization in Employer Branding, I have experience in resume critiques, cover letter writing, and strategic career development for young professionals. My background in Comparative Literature is an asset to those seeking to enhance their competitive candidacy in their career search.
Having grown up in a bilingual and bicultural family, I grew up speaking Mandarin and English. At home, conversation moved seamlessly between two languages. In addition, having lived in Shanghai, Beijing and Hong Kong for 14 years has instilled me with native fluency in speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin. I have over 400-hours of experience as a multilingual tutor from Cornell University's Knight Institute of Writing. In addition, I have tutored in Chengdu, China in Machik's Summer Enrichment Program, an NGO targeting primary school education for children in the Tibetan plateau. Growing up between two cultures has instilled me with a passion for teaching between Chinese and English languages.
