I am a very patient and educated person. I have studied and taught in several countries. I taught to different kind of populations, from kids from a shanty town to businessmen, to different aged students, from 6 months to 50 years.
I am from Italy, where I studied Art & English literature up to a college level. Because of that I am not obviously FLUENT in Italian. It is to be considered that in the US, people of Italian descent are often thought to know Italian, but it is often the dialect retained by the ancestors.
I then moved to Brazil where I studied and lived for 3.5 years. Here I taught Italian privately and in the Dante Alighieri school. I am FLUENT in Portuguese as well, but I prefer to limit my tutoring to conversation.
After that, I moved to the United States, where I acquired a BA in Dance & Anthropology, and an MA in Anthropology. I am FLUENT in English so our communication will have no glitch. I also speak basic Spanish and French ( I studied for 5 years in school but never had a real chance to practice; I understand very well, though), and a very basic Indonesian.
My broad curriculum and life experience makes a great teacher and valuable tutor.
In my studies, I have always been enthusiastic and got optimum results, and that is the same approach I use with my teaching.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
