Public Speaking

I have spent my entire professional career speaking to the public about diverse topics. My experience includes public speaking at professional conferences, academic classrooms, and financial literacy workshops. For individuals looking to improve their public speaking ability, I teach them how to convert their anxiety into positive non-verbal attributes within the speech.

I have high school teaching experience preparing students for the NYS Mathematics exams such as the Geometry Regents, Integrated Algebra Regents, and Algebra 2/Trig Regents. My college degree is in Mathematics so I am completely comfortable with all aspects of the regents-level math standards. In addition to my high school teaching experience, I have also independently tutored for the NYS Mathematics exam for 3 years.

SAT Math

I scored a perfect 800 on the SAT math section when I took the test prior to working for a top-ranked learning center. I find that an approach of repeatedly working through actual SAT problems and identifying the types of problems that the SAT commonly asks is the best training to do well on the test.

I have helped countless students prepare for the TEAS from diverse educational backgrounds. With more than 6 years experience teaching test preparation, I am a master at creating instruction towards specific testing objectives. My teaching strategy uses an item analysis approach which accurately identifies student’s strengths and weakness. Absolutely Fantastic Tutor! — Carl helped me prepare for the GED in the short amount of time I needed. He is a very polite and approachable person. He knew his material, he reviewed things in a way that you can understand, he was always willing to answer my questions and do what he can to make things simple. I learned so much from all the lessons I had from him. With out him I don't think I would have had as much confidence ...
