About Karen

After many years as a teacher and a parent, I understand teenage students and the workload they face in high school and the stress of the many tests they must take in order to obtain admissions to college. The research papers, the reading and writing are all familiar to me. In my current job, I provide support for ESL students in grades 6-12 which means I help them with projects, assignments, reading Shakespeare, and research papers.

I have years of experience as a tutor and a teacher of international students and test prep. I am fluent in Spanish and have lived and taught internationally. I am the former director of The Princeton Review in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

What makes me an excellent teacher is my patience.
