After many years as a teacher and a parent, I understand teenage students and the workload they face in high school and the stress of the many tests they must take in order to obtain admissions to college. The research papers, the reading and writing are all familiar to me. In my current job, I provide support for ESL students in grades 6-12 which means I help them with projects, assignments, reading Shakespeare, and research papers.
I have years of experience as a tutor and a teacher of international students and test prep. I am fluent in Spanish and have lived and taught internationally. I am the former director of The Princeton Review in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a MA in TESOL from NYU and years of experience teaching. I am currently the Director of an EAL Program at at NYC private school where I teach international students in grades 6-12 .
As the Director of The Princeton Review I worked with students on their writing skills for the test. I am now in a job at a private school here in NYC where i work with juniors on writing and test prep.
I speak, read and write Spanish and I am a qualified SAT Spanish Subject test tutor. As the Director of the Princeton Review in San Juan Puerto Rico I have taught Spanish Subject test reviews with excellent results.
