Hola, I'm Vicki! I currently teach Spanish at an independent high school in Brooklyn that specializes in teaching students with language-based learning disabilities. I have also taught Spanish language classes as an adjunct instructor at Mercy College as well as immersion classes for adults at a language institute in Manhattan. I have been tutoring high school students and offering adult lessons off and on for the past seven years. As both a teacher and tutor, it is important for me that students feel comfortable asking questions and taking risks, and, because of this, I work towards developing a professional yet relaxed and friendly rapport with mis estudiantes. My approach also involves developing study skills particular to language study and practice that will work best for you. Please contact me if you want support with learning Spanish! Nos vemos!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
