My name is Celina. I was born in Colombia, S. A. where I finished my Elementary, High School, undergraduate studies and a Masters in Economics. I emigrated to the U.S. in 1985. I studied English, at the University of Toronto in Canada, Southampton College in NY and by myself. I finished an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management up to graduation at the Lubin School of Business of Pace University in New York. Recently I started a Master in Education online at Jones International University (Colorado) but I didn't finished due to a health emergency. However, I will obtain my teaching credentials in the near future, plus I will pursue a PhD in Business. I am in the process of selecting an school.
My experience tutoring is short. It was while working as a tutor/advocate for Boces, NY in their branch located in Riverhead. I had to help students (pre-schoolers, 1st to 12th graders) with their problems in spelling, numbers, math, reading comprehension, writing essays, homework, etc. Despite that this was a very short experience, it was enjoyable for me and that was why I decided to further my teaching education.
