About Patrick

My name is Patrick. I'm a software engineer, physicist, and mathematician. I'm currently pursuing a bachelors degree in physics at Columbia University, where I have also worked as a teaching assistant for Columbia's accelerated introductory physics sequence (course numbers 2800 and 2801). In addition to teaching I also work as a software contractor whenever I can find projects which suit my financial needs and schedule.

I have continued to tutor former students from my classes, and I find teaching highly rewarding. The fields I have most experience teaching are calculus, introductory physics (at the college level), and software programming in C and C++.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
