Dartmouth College (Economics)
I have tutored high school math for over 5 years, and I specialize in the following high school math courses: SAT Math, Prealgebra, Geometry, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2/Trigonometry.
I relate very well with my students, and we work together to increase their competency and understanding, excel on their exams, boost their grades, and achieve any other goals the student may have.
I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2011 where I majored in Economics. My coursework concentrated on calculus, statistics, and financial mathematics. I worked for the Academic Skills Center at Dartmouth, tutoring students in mathematics, economics and music on behalf of the college. Currently, I work as an actuary in addition to tutoring.
For years, my high school and middle school students have seen SIGNIFICANT improvements in test performance, quarterly grades, and Regents and SAT scores!

Ryan was very professional, patient and a good help for our children. We would recommend this tutor any time. Don't hesitate! Thank you Ryan!
Ryan is always prompt, reliable, very well prepared and effective. He is very flexible when additional time is needed. He makes sure he knows ahead of time what areas need to be addressed and is always prepared to cover exactly what my daughter needs help on. She relates well to him and feels he has helped her tremendously with Trigonometry. I would highly recommend him as a tutor.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have helped prepare lots of students for several of the high school mathematics Regents exams. Specifically, these include the Geometry Regents, Algebra 1 Regents, and the Algebra 2/Trigonometry Regents exams. I am well versed in all the syllabi, and my students have seen significant improvements and success on these exams.
