About Sara

Hello, my name is Sara. Over the past 3.5 years I have helped students improve their grades in math courses. I have helped them get good grades in exams and pass classes. Tutoring is something I truly love doing. Helping someone excel and understand something they were struggling with is rewarding. Unfortunately there are times when students take a math course and teachers do not really help. Tutors can come in and make things clearer.

The main method I use while tutoring is to encourage students to ask questions. Most importantly I reassure them that they can be comfortable enough to be honest and say they do not understand a topic. In doing so I help them until they reach success. Mathematics can be a hard subject for students to grasp but with an exceptional tutor it does not have to be so boring or difficult as people make it out to be.

Soon, I will have a master's degree in mathematics, and I will begin teaching in an accredited university. There are many benefits in having a tutor especially one that has a desire to help a student in any way possible. I have a passion to help and feel confident that I can help students.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
