Teaching would be a great way for an investment banker and securities analyst to give back to the profession, at least that is what a professor friend told me. After meeting just a few students, I was surprised to find I had a knack for teaching. My students were not only getting better grades, they were beginning to enjoy their classes. I was hooked!

Debra was honestly the best tutor I've ever had. Because I was taking a summer class, online none the less, my motivation was low and I really didn't want to be sitting there learning the material. Debra made what I was being taught way easier to digest and I genuinely looked forward to meeting her each session. I would not have gotten through my class without her... You'd be crazy not to work with her.
One of the best tutors I have ever worked with. Honest, helpful and extremely knowledgeable in all things finance. If you need to learn finance from an expert choose Debra. She is also very nice!
Debra was a pleasure to work with. She was easy to schedule, timely, and effective in explaining material. Should i ever need any more assistance, I will be sure to contact her. Excellent tutor.
She is the biggest reason I passed macro, now we are working on micro. Debra is amazing, so helpful, patient, on time, and professional. She is very intelligent and if you communicate before the meeting she will come ready. Book her asap!
Meeting with Debra was great. She really took the time to help me with my business plan and was a great listener. She was very goal oriented on what I wanted to takeaway from our first meeting and followed up afterwards.
Debra was great, she is very knowledgeable and informed about the coursework. I will most likely hire her again for my corporate finance course as she has worked with NYU students before. So this is a plus as she is familiar with the course material.
Debra is an incredible tutor. I was in a bind for my accounting exam and we met a few times and I immediately felt more confident. She explains everything in a simplistic manner and is such a nice person! Highly recommend.
Debra saved my life. She is very quick to respond. In person she is personable while still staying laser focused on the tasks at hand. She is so smart, and she is able to explain things so simply which helped me to understand the material for the first time since I had started my course. I'm so thankful I found her.
Debra is a fantastic tutor. She comes very prepared, answers questions patiently and thoughtfully and is very helpful. Will for sure need her in the future!
Debra was extremely knowledgeable and very comprehensive in helping me Study for my macro and micro economics final. She is an excellent tutor, and I highly recommend her.
Debra is an excellent tutor who takes the time to explain the problems so you understand it. We were so involved that the time just flew by. I definitely would recommend Debra as a tutor.
Debra was really helpful with my Accounting needs.
I was able to understand the concepts better because of her detailed explanations.
I will definitely continue using her.
She taught me how to carefully read exam questions that will try to trick you. She was patient and answered any questions that I had and explained how to do them very well. Also, she responds very quickly to emails and I really appreciated how she made time for me when I needed a tutor at the last minute.
Debra knows her subject! She helped me with my lesson, but what I appreciated most was that she explained "the big picture" first so that the specific subject matter was easier to grasp and easier to understand how it fits. She was punctual, prepared, and not in a hurry. She tutored me for an hour and a half, which was how long I ended up needing. I hope to meet with her again throughout this course and other finance courses.
Very helpful for economics! Spent time with me until I truly understood the subject. Specifically, we spent time on chart curves I didn't really understand. The teacher was going faster than I could grasp. Highly recommend!
Debra was well prepared and explained the solution to the problem(s) thoughtfully. I would recommend her to anyone with an accounting problem.
Ms. F provides the best knowledge based on her valuable experience in Wall Street. She is very patient and helpful in every way, so every person can be prepared with the right tools for the financial world.
I will not be using her again for tutoring. Unable to complete questions that I needed help on, not focused and detached from the present day exam. Aside from the first 10 mins of advice it was a 50 min waste of time.
The thing I liked best about working with Debra is that she preps before your session. I had a difficult problem set, which Debra took time beforehand to walk through so our time together was more efficient.
I worked with Debra via Skype for two lessons on a finance internship project that I am doing. She was very nice and offered great explanations for all of the questions that I had.
Debra has been coaching me as I transition to a financial analyst role. Although I have taken finance courses at business school, I needed some extra help with some accounting and finance topics. Her experience and insight have been invaluable to me and to my professional growth. She has a knack for bridging theory with on the job application in a way that is clear and memorable. Debra is very pleasant to work with and I highly recommend her as a tutor.
Very professional and patient with an excellent teaching style.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have completed approximately twenty hours of undergraduate and graduate level accounting course work in intermediate, managerial and financial accounting. Knowledge of the principals of accounting are a critical element of my work as a securities analyst. I am a member of the NYSSA Corporate Reporting Committee, which has provided a convenient platform to remain current on changes in Generally Accepted Accounting Principals.
As the founder of an independent securities research firm, I have personal experience with the challenges that face entrepreneurs. I can help with developing a business plan for the purpose of raising capital, analyzing financial statements to improve profitability, among other important business functions.
My major as an undergraduate was economics, including microeconomics, macroeconomics and international economics. Additionally, I have a master of business administration with an emphasis on international business and trade, which included a strong economics element. Third, I am a holder of the Charter for Financial Analysts, which requires knowledge of economics as applied to financial decision making.
My experience includes over twenty years as an investment banker and securities analyst, during which I have used the principals of finance in a variety of investment decisions. For example, I have intimate knowledge of a variety of securities valuation methodologies. I currently run in independent research firm in which we use detailed financial statement analysis as part of a securities selection process. I earned the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst is 1998 and have completed the minimum recommended continuing education in each year since 2000.
I have considerable experience in successful exam preparation and passage in the financial profession, including the GMAT, CFA Exams and FINRA licensure exams. I attribute this success to an efficient and effective preparation approach and to highly focused strategies for exam execution.
