I graduated from University in Russia with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for years in Information Technology. My passion for teaching comes from my love of learning.
I currently work in school systems (K-12) tutoring students in Math and Science.
My passion for Math and Science brought me to the school setting, and I enjoy tutoring students and sharing my knowledge with them. I have tutored the students for Regents exams in Geometry, Algebra 1, Algebra 2/Trigonometry. When tutoring the students for Regents Geometry I like to use the NY State Regents Geometry textbook since this is the material that will be on the test.
Most importantly, I will teach a student how to solve the problem and how to think of the solution. Anyone can pick up study guides and practice exam books and go through it while checking their work with solutions at the back. However, the book doesn't tell you what you are doing wrong or how to improve yourself. If you want to be sure to do well on your first attempt, I will teach you how to approach problems, techniques, timing and approaches that cannot be found in any one single study guide but rather a compilation of years of experience and expertise.
I have always believed that Math develops our logical thinking and helps us in many life situations.
