Rina's ability to teach is outstanding. She is prepared for anything, dedicated to the student benefiting from their lesson via a method which best suits their need and importantly, she is exacting with her teaching of the subject at hand.
Rina is a great Hebrew tutor, accommodating with my schedule, very patient and encouraging with my progress. Hebrew is not an easy language for sure but Rina makes our weekly lessons enjoyable, fun and interesting. Rina has been my tutor for almost a year now and I believe I have made great progress in reading, writing and understanding Hebrew. I look forward to travel to Israel and practice Ivrit.
Read a passage, learned new vocabulary, and reviewed some grammar. She had materials for all levels, including my (relatively) more advanced level.
Rina and I reviewed basic introductions in Hebrew, numbers from 1-100, and other miscellaneous words. Rina was clearly experienced, came with materials, listened to my goals and was very patient. She made sure I understood everything and always asked if I had questions before moving on.
I had the pleasure of meeting Rina for a lesson. She was beyond professional, bringing her own materials, and she was always quick to respond. Further, she had an ease with teaching that made me comfortable and confident.
I was a very particular student having needs that were unique and she was sure to structure the lesson to effectively meet my requests.
I have now scheduled a few upcoming classes and look forward to learning more Hebrew with Rina!
I love learning how to speak Hebrew with Rina.
She's very responsive to all correspondence, encouraging, and fun to speak with.
She accommodates my visual learning style by bringing bright colored visual cards for every topic we cover.
I feel I learn a great deal of new vocabulary, nouns, verbs and phrases, immediately using them to practice conversational Hebrew sentences.
Rina was an incredible fit for me. She built lessons using a common textbook covering all components of sentence formation including vocabulary, phrases, grammar, verb conjugations, pronouns, adjectives, prefixes and suffixes.
In addition, Rina brought visual word cards and colorful work pages to help retain and internalize the words, phrases and verbs. This helped immensely in my studies as well as at my job. She was always prompt, well prepared and reliable, making the lessons fun and comprehensible. I highly recommend Rina if you want to learn Hebrew while connecting with a warm, invested and experienced tutor in the process!
Rina is extremely helpful preparing me for my Graduate level Hebrew course. I learn a lot each lesson by conversing in Hebrew and adding many new vocabulary words to my conversation. Most of all Rina simplifies the complex structure of verbs, conjugating each one in single and plural form in all tenses. I like that Rina prepares/creates clarifying worksheets that enhance my school workbook. I feel I'm gaining confidence the more I work with Rina.
I feel so lucky to have found such a great teacher! Rina is the perfect supplement to my Ulpan lessons. We work on organizing what I've learned so far, add new vocabulary, and put everything into context by speaking conversational Hebrew. If you are looking for an excellent Hebrew teacher, look no further!
Rina is a fantastic tutor! From our first session she took the time to understand my goals, and custom designed a lesson plan for me. She even came prepared with materials, books, visual aids, and worksheets to make learning much easier. Not to mention the fact that she’s also really friendly and easy to get along with. I highly recommend her without any hesitation :) !
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
