If you're looking for somebody to either help you catch up in math, or get ahead in math, I'm your guy. I was a math major at Washington University in St. Louis, and minored in German, economics, and writing. While there, I tutored students in everything from counting to calculus, and beyond. I then earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Bard

In-person lessons

He is a very good listener and understands where your misunderstandings are and where your difficulty with the problem lies. Tim is very good at explaining the steps or the rationale for the solution of the problem. He is very good and a pro at this. I revised 10 times my review because it appears I am gushing over his tutoring skills. Anyway, if you need help with Math Tim is your go-to tutor.

This tutor is extremely knowledgeable. He Knows Precalculus and Stats. He is easy going and my son loves him! He always knows the material.

I was having difficulties with different topics and a few specific problems, and Tim helped me tremendously by focusing the lessons on exactly what I needed help with, and by explaining everything very clearly and succinctly. He knows calculus inside and out and is able to teach it extremely well. I am a great deal more confident after only 3 lessons with him.

I met with Timothy M. in a coffee shop in New York City. As I am an adult student who is seeking to gain my high school math teaching certification, I had a wide variety of mathematical questions to ask Timothy, especially as they were related to passing the Praxis II math content test, which is required for certification in my home state of Connecticut. Timothy really helped me out a lot on all of my questions, and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone looking for help with math at any level.

Timothy has been reliable and totally easy to work with.

He is patient with my 14 year old, but strict when he has to be.

I recommend him highly.

Approved subjects are in **bold**.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
