I am a bilingual French and Italian speaker with a lot of tutoring experience. I was born and raised in Italy, where I received a thorough education in modern and ancient history, as well as Latin, Greek, Italian, French and English literatures and languages. I approached the study of French language and culture during my college years. After receiving a grant to complete my training in France, in 2013 I obtained a French Language Advanced Diploma (DALF).
I am passionate, dynamic, and I strive to meet my students at the level that they are at. I plan, prepare, and deliver lessons tailored to a range of age groups, individual goals, and interests. My experience in language learning techniques taught me how important conversation is, therefore I like to use it as a foundation for tutoring students on an individual basis, as well as in small groups. I believe that the best way to learn a language is to start with simple phrases and then gradually build up to more complex ones. You will be amazed to see how quickly and easily you will find yourself speaking in a different language! I offer brush-up sessions for those who have previous knowledge of the language, but also one-on-one lessons for beginners. I serve corporate clients preparing for business trips and needing to learn new language skills, as well as literature enthusiasts who want to be able to read the classics in their original language. Whatever your language need may be, I can help you achieve your goal in a very short time!

Lodovica helped our daughter prepare for the Baccalaureate Exam in Italian. She was extremely helpful in understanding the requirements of the exam and understanding the skills our daughter needed to develop. The time they spent preparing yielded exceptional results including the ability to truly converse in fairly complex situation in Italian and read complicated texts. Thank you!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I once was a beginner, exactly like you. When I moved to France (in 2012), I didn't speak the language. I was thrown into the deep end of the pool. While living and working in Bordeaux I shortly became bilingual, approaching language learning with a different method that I had been used to (no grammar books, nor school). After moving to the US I decided to teach languages through this unconventional but effective method. The results are almost immediate and my students are happy.
I am an Italian native speaker, with tons of experience teaching languages to both school aged kids and adults. My method doesn't require doing any homework nor taking notes...it is simply based on the student relaxed state of mind and will power.
