I have been tutoring Medical students, Physician Assistant students and college students in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Embryology, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Surgery, and Medicine for the past 6 years. My resume is available upon individual requests. References can also be provided if requested.
My goal is to make the complicated easy and understandable. I try to create a comfortable environment conducive for learning. Every tutoring session will consist of a comprehensive breakdown and discussion of the subject material followed by questions to assess students weak points. Subsequent sessions will also consist of a quick review on previous topics discussed before introducing new topics. Over the years, I have found that this method works exceptionally well with students.
I hope this brief introduction of myself has been helpful. I have been tutoring Medical students, Physician Assistant students and college students in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Embryology,
Mitchell is an amazing tutor. She is patient, understanding, works around the student's unique leaning style, and is extremely knowledgeable & professional. She takes tutoring very seriously (and personally) and makes it her mission to help you succeed! It helps that she has done many years of schooling, and has an impressive list of degrees, so she understands the stressors and pressures of being a student.
You will find her easy to relate to, and open up to, and can ask her any question without feeling embarrassed. She will never make you feel like you don't know anything, will always answer happily to the best of her ability, and will undoubtedly make any subject a breeze.
I was once scared of Anatomy & Physiology II, but thanks to Mitchell, I have become super interested in it, and even fascinated by it. One of the things I like the most is how she relates the theory we learn in class to real life situations, which not only helps me understand, it makes it so easy to remember the material! It doesn't even feel like I'm studying!
I know it's just one class, but Mitchell is honestly one of those few people who come into you life and really help change the way you think. Mitchell, you've made such a difference, I can't thank you enough...
She is teaching me anatomy. I like the fact that she's always on time and has great explanations. We cover all the materials in a short period of time.
I went from a C minus to a B! (So I actually got an A on the final in order to raise my grade up to the B). Phenomenal tutor, who took me through 90% of all the material for the Final in 2 hours. I only wish that I had called her earlier in the semester!
Mitchell is a great tutor. She helped me to understand the material much better. Also, she increased my interest in Biochemistry. Her method of teaching is amazing and she explains the lessons very well. This is my fist time I have a good knowledge about biochemistry and I have decided to continue tutoring with her. I totally recommend her.
I started Anesthesia school this past Fall semester and I was taking Advanced Physiology. I was having a very difficult time in class understanding concepts and after botching my first exam, I knew I needed help. With the suggestion of a friend, I started looking at tutors at Wyzant.com. She recommended it to me from using a tutor from here before. I decided to give it a shot and that's when I found Mitchell. She was able to explain to me key concepts in Physiology that I was not able to understand on my own or in class. Mitchell is very patient, reliable, and prompt. We would often communicate by email and before we would meet, I would email her the lectures from class, just to give a heads up on what our tutoring session would be about. She always offered to answer any questions by email if I had difficulty understanding other concepts. Mitchell was my tutor for the remainder of the semester after my first exam, and credit my 17 point jump on the second exam due to my sessions with her. I would jump at the opportunity to recommend Mitchell to anyone who needed a tutor.
I passed Medical School Pharmacology with the help of Mitchell!! Her teaching style is simple but very efficient. This is the first time I had a tutor in which I was able to memorize information at a greater rate simply due to her teaching style and notes that she provided. She is very patient and understanding and has a good sense of what will work for her student. I am extremely grateful for all her help and highly recommend anyone to try her tutoring services!
I felt so overwhelmed with my Anatomy class before meeting with Mitchell. I had a hard time understanding a few topics and felt no one could help. After sitting down with Mitchell for a little over 2 hours, I felt like I could take a quiz and get an A!
She explains things very well, in ways I could relate to and understand. She didn't rush through things even though we were short on time. She made sure to focus on things that were important. She even quizzed me a bit which was hard but very helpful. I am going to be using Mitchell for all my Anatomy study needs in the near future and will be recommending her to other classmates.
I have always had a difficult time in school and have relied heavily on tutors to help me out. I feel like a professional student at this point. In the 12 years of needing tutors, Mitchell was by far the best. Mitchell was kind, patient and took her job very seriously. She quickly clued in on my bad habits and worked with me on eliminating those habits. I began the semester with a C in chemistry and finished with an A thanks to Mitchell. If you are looking for someone who is professional but easy to get along with then Mitchell is the tutor for you! I highly recommend Mitchell as she is an excellent tutor!
Mitchell tutored me in biochemistry and anatomy and physiology. She is knowledgeable, friendly, patient and manages to explain very complicated information in a way that is easy to understand! She helped me tremendously, and I would recommend her for any subject. Thanks to Mitchell's help, I raised my grade to an A! She is an amazing tutor!
I found Mitchel A. very helpful right from the start. I needed her to tutor my son in Behavioral science and I am very impressed with her level of tutoring. She quickly grasped what my son needed , was very organized and my son who is not easy to please, was very happy with her tutoring. I strongly recommend her.
Mitchell is an amazing tutor. I don't know how she makes things so simple to understand but she does. She explains things in a way that you can comprehensively understand the material and not just memorize. She organizes her lecture that makes it easy to understand. Mitchell works at the speed that is good for the student and not matter how many times you have to go back and review, she will do it. She is very understanding to students situations and is available and easy to reach by phone. I would recommend her to any Physician Assistant or Medical Student having trouble with Pharmacology. She makes it so simple to understand.
Mitchell is a great tutor. The only bad thing I have to say is that I am sad that I found her so late in my Biochemistry course. She is patient and she makes sure you know the material very well. I am so glad I picked her.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am a recent graduate from Medical school. I have been tutoring medical students and physician assistant students in pharmacology for the past couple of years. I got an A+ in pharmacology in medical school and got high grades in the United States Medical Licensing Examination.
