I played organized basketball up through my senior year of high school, and still play recreationally to this day.
My father was the coach of my team, so I definitely feel that I picked up a lot, not only about the game, but about how to teach it, as well.
I watch a lot of basketball, both professional and collegiate, and have collected a lot of useful information about different facets of the sport from there, as well.
I have been playing table tennis since I was a little kid. I have always had a table in my basement, and used to play just about every day.
I have played in, and won, many informal tournaments, and although I don't have any experience teaching the sport, I definitely feel as though I have the ability to precisely explain how I have been able to improve my game.
I was on my school's track team for six years, and took part in many different aspects of track and field. I was primarily a jumper and sprinter, but I have experience hurdling and running longer distances.
I had coaches who successfully taught me a lot of different skills and techniques, and I believe I can emulate those teaching methods. As a veteran on my high school track and field team, I took pride in helping the younger members of the team learn the ropes and improve on their abilities.
