I am a twenty year old female. I began to play the flute in 2nd grade, and began to sing in choir around the same time. I was active in band and choir through graduation in 2013, and I participated in drama productions and pep band, select choir, and was even chosen for the Syracuse Honor Band in 2009. I have taken courses on Music Theory and composed several pieces of my own. I was trained for several years outside of school and have received consistent NYSSMA ratings of 95+ since middle school.
I do not have a teaching certification, however, I am a highly experience flautist and Soprano with many years of performing and practicing experience. I am able to teach anyone about music, and I would love to teach you!
I have been playing the flute and singing with a choir since I was in the 2nd grade. As an adult, I have 14 years of musical experience and have dozens of NYSSMA awards and ratings under my belt. I have knowledge in music theory, and can teach proper elements of singing and instrumental playing to any beginner or intermediate student. I do not have a teaching degree, but what I make up for in the degree is years of experience in teaching my fellow musicians and younger students.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
