We hired David to tutor my 17 year old daughter who was retaking the US History Regents. David was wonderful! He not only worked with my daughter in person, but kept her busy by texting her vocabulary and keeping her engaged with the subject. He was always on time for sessions and responsive to our suggestions and comments. As a result, my daughter got the highest grade she has ever received on a Regents exam! I would recommend David highly!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
