Mercy College (BFA)
I am a graduate of Mercy College working to make my way into the many different industries in the 3D, Game Design, and Visual Media fields. I have 4 years of experience working with 3D Modeling softwares, such as Autodesk Maya and Zbrush. I specialize in creating various models, such as character, hard surface and creature models. I am also studying and have taught a summer course for teens in game design using Unreal Engine. Aside from my 3D background, I have experience in Post-Production Compositing and Producing Designs for Broadcast. I am also proficient in 3D Modeling, Lighting & Texturing and Broadcast Design.
I have been a tutor and instructor working with many different age ranges over the past six years. In college I was a tutor who help his peers gain successful knowledge of the tools and helped to complete their projects. Some of the software I would tutor in include Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects.
I have four years of experience working with Autodesk Maya and have helped to complete a successful student film using the software. In addition to this experience, I have also completed a summer camp in which I taught Autodesk Maya to teenage students. Having been an after school instructor for the past year and have tutored an mentored hearing impaired children for four years, I am well versed in the realm of instruction.
If you have an interest in learning the vast field of 3D Design, or even if you already experience, I will help push you to new heights. I will have you go from beginners knowledge to an experienced artist within a few short weeks. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I graduated from Mercy College with a degree in Computer Arts and Animation with, a concentration in 3D Art and Animation in 2015. Having used Autodesk Maya for over 5 years on a variety of film and game design project, I consider myself an advanced user. I have been an instructor of Autodesk Maya at the summer camp iD Tech Camps for roughly 2 years now. I also teach a 3D Design class, as part of the after school program, at The Dalton School.
