I am a licensed New York State School Counselor and football coach. I am a huge Mets, Giants, and Knicks fan.
In 2015, I graduated with my Master's degree in School Counseling from Boston College. I have been employed as a Study Abroad Advisor in Boston College’s Office of International Programs, while also working as a Guidance Counselor intern at Natick High School. Both of these positions have given me experience with counseling and advocating for high school and college-aged students regarding their unique personal and academic issues, including their transition to high school and college planning. In addition, I have also worked closely with many of my students’ parents – a skill that I have found to be especially important at the high school level. My ability to communicate with parents, students, and other school professionals, in tandem with my knowledge of the college applications process are a few of my strengths.
In addition, I graduated from Muhlenberg College with my teaching certificate in 2013. During this time, I taught both eighth, sixth, and third graders. The experience of personal connection with these students helped me to recognize how fulfilling the counseling role could be.
I have played football and wrestled for part of my college career at Muhlenberg College. I was a County Champion wrestler and baseball player while at The Wheatley School in Old Westbury, NY.
If you need help finding the right college fit, deciding on a potential career path, or just some extra motivation to improve your grades/credentials for college, I would be more than happy to help! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
