Algebra 1,

Algebra 1

I believe that a qualified Algebra I math tutor must be knowledgeable of the changes in the new common core Alg I curriculum. Now ,not only do students have to be able to understand the mathematical concepts of questions, they must also be capable of analyzing the text of the question. I am able to accomplish both goals.I have successfully tutored many students in the past two years, allowing mastery with the new Regents exam.
Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have taught and tutored Regents Algebra II/Trig and Honors Algebra II/Trig for several years. My students have always had a high passing rate on the regents exam. This school year the new Common Core curriculum will be implemented. Many topics from Pre Calculus will now be taught in this course. I am very familiar with all the changes that New York State is making, having done curriculum writing for this course.
Calculus,

Calculus

I have taught AP Calculus in my school district for several years. My students consistently score a class average of 4.2 out of 5 each year. I am passionate about the subject, I could teach it 24/7 ! I am able to explain all topics to the student in an easy to understand manner.
Geometry,

Geometry

I believe that students struggle in Geometry because of the overwhelming number of theorems and formulas that need to be memorized. I make sure that my students understand the underlying concepts behind these. Once this goal is accomplished, the student can easily apply this knowledge to the elemental topics of the course.
Precalculus,

Precalculus

I have taught Precalculus in a high school setting for over 15 years. I am able to explain all material in a straightforward yet through way. This allows my students to master all topics. I have always had great success teaching and tutoring this subject.
SAT Math

SAT Math

I have taught an SAT Math prep class in my district when it was offered as well as private tutoring for many years. It is very important that the student not only understands the mathematics involved in each question, but also the "tricks" for each question. Timing is essential, and I believe a student needs to be coached on how to balance their time on each question. This will allow the student to score the best of their potential!

I have a devotion to Trigonometry! Many HS students find Trig a difficult and complicated course. I am able to present the material in a manner that is easy to understand and apply. I have taught this class for several years as well as tutored, always with very successful results.

Great experience

She was fantastic, even recommended by my teenage daughter. It's strange that teenagers like Math teacher but she is so good.
