Hunter College (English)
Hello there! My name is Danielle and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a concentration in Writing from Hunter College in New York City. In addition to having studied under Pulitzer-Prize Winning authors, I have also won numerous awards for my work (including poetry and – everyone’s favorite friend – essay writing), and I would love to offer my assistance in helping you get your thoughts organized in a way that is sure to “WOW” your professor!
I am also a Certified ESL Teacher, and have only recently returned to the USA after two years teaching English in China. I believe learning a new language should be a fun and organic experience and will often incorporate games and activities into my lessons. In addition to basic vocabulary and grammar, I also teach slang and basic American culture to those wishing to become fluent.
I look forward to helping you! Hello there! My name is Danielle and I have a Bachelor’s Degree in English with a concentration in Writing from Hunter College in New York City. In addition to having studied under Pulitzer-Prize Winning authors, I have also won
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have an extensive background which includes having studied Studio Art at Hunter College in Manhattan, and having original artwork published in a literary and art journal. During my time as an ESL teacher in China, I designed my own curriculum using art as a means of teaching English to Chinese children and teenagers, as art can be used to transcend the language barrier.
