I'm Elisabeth. I graduated top of my class with a 3.95 GPA in an Applied Science of Nursing degree. I also have a previous Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology, and a minor in Psychology. I enjoyed my experience in nursing school. I had a few professors that took my experience from mundane to memorable. It is due to these few professors, who continually encouraged my nursing growth, that piqued my interest in learning. As an atypical learner, professors who had an open door policy and took their time explaining things in a way where I could hold onto the information helped me to excel. They individualized my learning which is something that I would also be doing as a tutor. I will go through concepts in different, interesting ways in order to help make the learning process an enjoyable experience. I will introduce various topics with an individualized approach. I will use a teach-back method to ensure understanding. I will always include NCLEX questions for nursing students throughout the lesson.
I have a year of tutoring experience teaching 5th grade social studies. I have worked with nursing students in my cohort who were looking to better their study strategy. I have worked with nursing students on difficult concepts that I was able to explain in a different way. I am continually educating patients on preventative health concepts and further health conditions that the patient may have or are at risk of having. I am frequently utilizing my education in anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and pathophysiology in order to teach patients. It is important to educate patients so they can make the most informed decision possible.
My goal is to make every student as successful they can in whatever they choose to become. I am open to any and all resources and suggestions that both the student or parent may be able to provide. I am easy to reach and will always respond in a timely manner. Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a tutoring lesson!
