In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm truly passionate about French and began studying it as early as it was offered in school, because my family is part French and I have cousins in Paris. We hosted a young French teacher when I was a child and I've just always grown up surrounded with French. When I studied abroad in Aix-en-Provence (where I returned in the summer of 2014 for vacation) and worked in Corsica, the French island next to Sardinia, I had to show people my passport to prove I wasn't French! Nobody believed me because my French always so flawless. I'm a stickler for grammar and pronunciation and this will really benefit the student. I'm very hands on, not gimmicky. We will get down to the nitty gritty of the language and I will absolutely help your child improve their grades, complete their homework or whatever their needs may be. I also speak Spanish and some Italian. I look forward to meeting you soon!
