Hello, I'm Clara! I graduated from Concordia University - Nebraska with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Roberts Wesleyan College. I have taught math to students in grades 2 - 12 over the past four years. I have also tutored students in a variety of math courses, including elementary mathematics, Algebra 1, and Algebra 2. I love being able to assist students in making connections between different math concepts and building on what they have learned in school and at home by providing alternative ways of explaining concepts. I also enjoy seeing student excitement when everything clicks!

As a teacher and tutor, I both model problems and concepts as well as provide opportunities for students to practice with guided support - and eventually independence! I work to weave student interests together with math as much as possible to showcase how useful and interesting the subject of math can be. During our tutoring sessions, we will work together to better understand math and find learning and study strategies that work for you so that you can build both your math confidence and skills.
