My name is Lina/Leena. I have four degrees so far. My first is a B.S. in Pharmacy, graduated in 1995. My second is a Master's degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Health Care Administration (MBA/HCA), graduated in 2003 from Oregon.
I switched careers in 2004 and graduated with dual degrees in Math and Early Childhood Education from Sullivan County Community College in 2008 with honors for maintaining a GPA of 4.0. During that time, I voluntarily tutored the college students in math. Sometimes I used to tutor some of my neighbors in chemistry and biology.
I believe that a good education and a better understanding of a subject needs a strong foundation, and that's what I plan on doing and what I used to do while tutoring.
I can communicate in English and Arabic.
The first hour is free as I use it to evaluate the student to see where s/he stands (i.e., weaknesses and strengths).
Currently, I rejoined SUNY New Paltz to pursue a degree in special education and education technology.

My son could not have been happier with Lina's Math tutoring. She is kind and patient with supercomputer brain and mad math skills! He actually looks forward to their sessions! Priceless!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
