About Elizabeth

I am a SUNY college professor in teacher education. I have a doctorate in school psychology from an institution that focuses on literacy acquisition. I worked as a school psychologist for several years with all ages, though the majority of my experience is with middle and high school students. As a professor, I focus on active and inquiry-based learning to motivate students and encourage meaningful learning.

Working with students one on one is an enjoyable and rewarding experience. With tutoring, instruction is differentiated to the maximum, and student confusion and gaps in learning does not go unnoticed. One on one instruction is so effective for language acquisition and developing writing skills.

I double majored in French and clinical psychology in college, and studied in France during my junior year.

I have a Ph.D. in school psychology and have published in many peer-reviewed journals.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson.

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
