I believe in teaching languages in the way we learned our own. That is, by associating words with objects, using the language in casual conversation, and using all aspects of the language, such as speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
I am a very patient and supportive teacher. However, I have high expectations for my students. I enjoy the challenge of motivating my students to perform above expectations. At the same time, I leave a great deal of the responsibility on the student to ensure their own success.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students.
