If you are a parent looking for a tutor, contact Sandy. We were very lucky to find Sandy on WyzAnt to help our child review Spanish for the upcoming speaking portion of the Foreign Language Proficiency Exam. Sandy is very calm, patient, and kind. Our daughter has a language weakness and has struggled with learning Spanish. We were very concerned about her passing this exam. After only a few sessions with Sandy our child went from scoring 4/10 to scoring 9/10 on the practice speaking exams. Thank you Sandy! We would happily recommend her!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training at Om Sweet Om Yoga in Port Washington in the summer of 2012. This certification is approved by the Yoga Alliance. In addition to learning about Asana practice, my coursework included anatomy and yoga philosophy. I have taught yoga classes since the training and continue to read about yoga philosophy in addition to practicing yoga myself as much as I can.
