JNTU (Aerospace Engineer)
University of Houston (Master's)
I have always wanted to become an astronaut- this motivation and drive fueled my love and passion for math and science. Math is great because it is a language spoken across the entire world- and 1 single problem can be solved in a number of ways. It allows you to bring out your creative thoughts and stimulate your mind when solving a problem. There is art and beauty in creative problem solving in math and science, and it is my pleasure to share this appreciation with others through tutoring.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from India, and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Houston. I have tutored elementary school to high school students through homework, private exam prep, SAT, college applications as well as the GRE for those looking to attend graduate school. I have traveled around the world working with students of all ages and cultures which really helps me understand a students needs and determine their dominant learning style using the three main sensory receivers: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (movement).
My math background is extensive. I received an 800 on the SAT math and 790 on the SAT Math Level II Subject Test. I have tutored all levels of math, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus. In sciences, I tutor physics, chemistry, and psychology on the high school and college (AP) level. I focused my undergraduate and graduate training to prepare for becoming an astronaut or engineer, so I've built depth in these sciences and happy to teach these topics with applications to all engineering fields.
I hope to make your math and science journey feel like a positive adventure -- working through any weaknesses to shape new strengths.
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Calculus, DE- differential equations, Discrete Math, Elementary Math, Linear Algebra, Prealgebra, Precalculus, Statistics, Trignometry
I received a 170 (full) in the math section of the GRE, with some tips and tricks and quick solving capabilities you will be able to ace the GRE in no time! Having a good GRE score opens up a lot of possibilities on where you plan to pursue higher education.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
