I have a true passion for mathematics and science. I began tutoring by helping other students in my high school classes. In college, I worked as a tutor with the Chemistry department at the University of the West Indies, where I was hired to help freshman students gain a better understanding of various concepts.
I currently tutor geometry, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, and physics for high school and college students. I help with homework, and aid in test preparation for SAT, ACT, and GRE math. I prefer one-on-one tutoring and enjoy engaging students with math problems that are fun and challenging. I like to connect math to real world situations so that my students can fully grasp the necessity and relevance of knowing and using math in their everyday lives.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
