My name is Knol S.Singh and I have been a Fourth and Fifth Grade Elementary School Teacher for over fifteen years. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. I will serve as a guide by allowing the child's natural curiosity to direct his/her learning and promote respect for all things and all people.
My teacher's role as a guide will provide access to information rather than acting as the primary source
of information where the students' search for knowledge is met as they learn to discover answers to their questions. I will teach the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. I will present curriculum that involves the interests of children that makes learning relevant to life. I will incorporate themes, integrate units, projects, group work, cooperative learning, individual work and hands-on-learning activities and differentiated instruction in order to make children active learners.
I will help students to develop a deep love and respect for themselves, others and their environment by encouraging the sharing of ideas and a judicious approach to discipline. I believe that students have greater respect for their teachers, their peers and the lessons presented when they feel safe and certain of what is expected of them. In setting fair and consistent rules initially and stating the importance of each activity, students are shown respect for their presence and time. In turn, they will learn to respect themselves, others and their environment.
I firmly believe that teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of my hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them. In our competitive world,it is important for students to not only receive a solid education, but to work with someone who is aware of and sensitive to their individual needs. I am such a person and will always strive to be the best educator
that I can be. My name is Knol S.Singh and I have been a Fourth and Fifth Grade Elementary School Teacher for over fifteen years. I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring and stimulating environment in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually,
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
