Currently I am working as a substitute teacher for the Ithaca City School District. I have worked as a Special Education Pre-k Teacher at a local school, and at a Center. I have also worked as an Itinerant Teacher for the an Early Childhood Program and a special education teacher with 4th and 5th graders
at a separate school.
As a teacher I have formed trusting relationships with my students, and always strive to help students work to the best of their abilities. As a classroom teacher I enjoyed being creative and have introduced activities that excited and involved students. I have also listened to parents’ concerns and encouraged them to become proactive in their children’s education. I have worked with students with a wide variety of special needs as well as typical students of all ages. In addition to my pre-k and elementary experience, I can also tutor middle and high school math, science, written and language arts.
I also enjoy working with ESL students and adults who want to improve their oral and written English.
I really enjoy working with students one-on-one.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
