Hi, I'm Andrew! I'm a senior at Cornell University majoring in Atmospheric Science. My academic path has given me a strong foundation in statistics, math, and Earth science, with coursework ranging from partial differential equations and programming to climate dynamics and atmospheric physics. With a 4.03 GPA and extensive research experience at the interface of high-performance computing and climate science, I bring both depth of knowledge and real-world applications into my tutoring.
I have previously served as a teaching assistant for Introductory Statistics at Cornell, where I led weekly discussion sections for 20 students and held office hours to provide one-on-one support. I also have experience helping peers and classmates in a variety of math and science subjects, including algebra, SAT math prep, and atmospheric science.
As a tutor, my philosophy is to provide a deep, conceptual understanding of a given topic. How does this connect to the real world, and when might I need to use this? I believe that learning should be grounded, allowing us to break down challenging topics into manageable pieces. With this in mind, I'm excited to tailor each session to your specific needs and learning goals. After all, I want to help you succeed on assignments and exams. Feel free to contact me and schedule a lesson!
