Upon following through with my dream of becoming a web developer, I would love to give back to students, and help them achieve their goals too. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to the adobe creative suite, and always ahead of the curve on the latest trends, in either print or web design.
I have always wanted to tutor students in either Graphic Design, or Web Design. In this day and age, they go hand in hand. The market really doesn't have that many great web designers, either they can design and they can't code, or they can code but they can't design. I do both, every day, for almost 5 years now.
I am the design equivalent of a "handy man," meaning that whatever you need help with in the design world, the chances are pretty high that I can help you. I don't like getting stumped by programs and code, I am without a doubt a problem solver. All of my colleagues have pushed me to start tutoring, saying I'll be great at it, so here I am.
When I'm not coding or designing, I'm usually working on my car, or playing my guitar. I'm also a photographer, so I practice that on the weekends as well.
I am a certified graphic designer, a certified photographer, and a certified web developer. And I have over 10 years experience using the following programs: Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop. I also have over 5 years using; HTML(5), SASS, CSS3, and JS.
If you want to learn industry standard techniques, as well as how to apply all of your knowledge to get a great paying job, than I'm your guy.
If you just need help passing a class, no need to fret, I can have you at the top of your class in no time. As long as you are willing to learn, I am more than happy to teach you. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
