I am a graduate of the prestigious school of Art Institute of Philadelphia, with a B.S in Digital film and video production. I freelance in many areas of multimedia Production. While in college I worked as as tutor teaching video editing and camera operations to students as well as adults.
I have extensive knowledge of Final Cut Pro 7 and 10, Avid, Adobe After Effects, Adobe premiere, Adobe Photoshop, Fundamentals of camera work, as well as strong knowledge of Green screen,
I am an encouraging hands on instructor. My goal is to have each student understand each component from beginning to end, and walk away with a strong knowledge base of multimedia.
I have also worked with young children in a sleep-away camp setting. I taught the campers how to shoot videos and how to edit their work. I enjoy working with all ranges of age and I have a lot to bring to the table. Rates are Flexible based on needs
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have years of experience in film production. I have worked on many big feature films in different types of jobs which include Grip, lighting tech, production assistant sound special effects. I have taught workshop programs teaching kids in ages ranging from 8-18 at different schools across new york. as well as teaching college level when students I was in college as a tutor. I know all the in and outs of film. My goal is to introduce students to key debates in the area of contemporary moving image production. To introduce students to underlying theoretical issues in this field, including the semiotics of filming and editing, new literates, multi modality theory, and theories of creativity. My goal is to give students experience of moving image production techniques. By using digital video cameras, non-linear editing systems, as well as animated content. I want to enable students to consider the use of these systems in an educational context, in relation to learning theory, pedagogic theory, and current debates about digital literacies.
