I have over 20 years experience in tutoring, primarily in high school and introductory college level physics. I know that physics can be an intimidating subject, so I combine clear explanations of the material with strategies for how to catch mistakes without getting discouraged. I have over 20 years experience in tutoring, primarily in high school and introductory college level physics. I know that physics can be an intimidating subject, so I combine clear explanations of the material with strategies for how to catch mistakes without getting discouraged. Keeping a good attitude can be a key part of mastering physics. As an experienced teacher of high school and college level physics courses, I know what your teachers are looking for and I bring all the tools you'll need to succeed!

Of course, a big part of physics is math, and I am experienced and well qualified to tutor math from elementary school up through multivariable calculus and linear algebra, and I have on occasion tutored people in business math and even criminology, when requested.

Linear Algebra

I studied linear algebra at Brown University and earned an A in the class (the highest grade possible). Linear algebra is one of the most useful branches of mathematics. It is used extensively in the social sciences, computer science (where it is the very foundation of a branch of artificial intelligence known as neural networks), as well as in physics, where it is one of the key tools for understanding quantum mechanics, among other things. I used linear algebra extensively in graduate school and for research. It is one of my favorite subjects, and one where I can help students learn in a particularly clear and logical framework.

Definitely knows what he's talking about

My daughter felt like time with Bill was time well spent. He went over all her questions and made sure she understood. He gave her lots of tips for solving problems. This was her first lesson. We will see the results when she takes the midterm next week. Hope to have her meet with him again before the test. Very impressive.

Knowledgeable and Patient Tutor

In helping me with several problems, William explained the reasoning behind the solutions and bridged the gaps between concepts that didn't connect up until now. I appreciated his patient approach and relatable explanations.
