I am Jeri Ann! I am a second year medical student at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Stony Brook University majoring in Biochemistry with 2 minors in Anthropology and Chemistry. I love tutoring because I love to teach and I love the process of passing down information to others. As a student, I understand what it is like to struggle while learning something, and I know how tough it can be to learn some concepts. Being a Biochemistry tutor, as well as an Honors General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry TA, as well as having taken the AP Chemistry and SAT II Chemistry exams in the past have given me the knowledge to approach a wide array Chemistry, Biology, and Biochemistry questions, and I understand what makes certain concepts difficult to grasp.

I have received my Lvl 1 teaching certification from the Academic Success and Tutoring Center at Stony Brook Uni for my work as a Biochemistry I tutor. I also have 2 years of tutoring experience for an honors college chemistry course, where I assisted students in a 2 hour workshop period, as well as held 2 or more hours worth of office hours weekly, where I assisted students with answering questions and told terrible chemistry jokes to calm their nerves for stressful exams. I scored a 5 on the AP Chemistry exam in 2016, and an 800 on the SAT II Chemistry exam in 2017. I have also received an A- in Organic Chemistry 1, and an A in Organic Chemistry 2. I am adequate in teaching molecular and cellular biology as well as ecological biology as I have received As in the courses and got a 4 on the AP Bio exam. I am confident in assisting with Anatomy as I am a medical student.
